BEAUTIFUL SOUL A/W 11
"PAINTING BY NUMBERS"
BEAUTIFUL SOUL's autumn/winter 2011 collection entitled painting by numbers takes us on a journey through an English country garden, exploring the eternal appeal of English tradition and escape the pace of London, if only for a while.
Its all about colour with this collection and the hues are fresh and bright. A blank silk canvas is the starting point of this new collection.
British illustrator Faye West has been commissioned to collaborate on the unique prints.
The ready-to-wear collection for women including trenches, capes, blazers and cropped jackets in British wool trimmed with carved and engraved vegetable ivory buttons.
Besides the outwear is a more commercial range of silk illustrated print dresses that fluidly dape and flatter the female form.
There is also men's ready-to-wear blazers which are of perfect fit and one of a kind but this time in British wool.
Beautiful soul is stocked at the V&A, My Sugarland and via their on e-commerce www.beautiful-soul.co.uk

MAGENTA
Magenta 8's design is wholly feminine and stems from the golden era of 1950's but this new collection hints towards androgyny.
While inspiration pulls from decades past, the collection is designed explicitly for the modern as well as the 21st century woman who celebrates her own style and individuality.
Katherine Hepburn plays muse for the new collection and it's her steadfast 'wear what I want to' approach to fashion and her fondness for a more boyish silhouette that is cut into each piece.
