SUPERTRASH A/W11-12 PRESS DAY

SuperTrash - www.supertrash.net, the Dutch based fashion company held their A/W11 press day at the Mayfair Hotel in one of their luxurious penthouses.
This is the slim look for the autumn / winter
SuperTrash - www.supertrash.net, the Dutch based fashion company held their A/W11 press day at the Mayfair Hotel in one of their luxurious penthouses.
Olcay Gulsen who later met and had a chat with is the owner and creative director of the well known SuperTrash fashion brand.
As a creative director it was her goal to make every youthful fashionable lady at least wear the brand (SuperTrash) and be a stable in their wardrobe.
Olcay speaks of the brand as a vision for strong independent women who love fashion and style.
The brand name SuperTrash was brought up, and the only thing that I can say about it is that, it's very catchy in every sense. And it makes you hungry to know what is it all about.
The SuperTrash press day was quite spectacular one in the sense that, the atmosphere and the vibe was really good. The ladies were fashionably dressed in the 7 inches and they were giving me fashion from head to toe.
Now let me tell you about the about the collection.
Lovely, simple frocks, dresses, leather jackets and mock-rock leather trousers.
The palette is controlled: caramel, cream, blush.
And then punctured by a touch of leather, faux fur, suede, and possibly textured blacks.
Draped Jersey jumpsuits are a 2011 innovation, but with a throwback to last year's wonderful Summer.
Prints are going to be self-designed this year. Check out the Indian fabric shops on Berwick Street..
Belted capes, knitted gilets, and pin-tuck detailing, is our speciality.

The SuperTrash A/W11-12 footwear collection has various bold statement pieces, drawing inspiration from the main fashion range of palette of naturals and black with flashes of red.
The footwear collection also has a range of day and evening shoes which will perfectly compliment the season's biggest trend.

SuperTrash AIFW catwalk show A/W11
SUPERTRASH showcased their A/W11 collection on Amsterdam fashion Week. This was the much talked about show. The show was graced with international buyers, the world press, the fashionistas, celebrities etc.
If you missed the show, this is your time to watch it. There are much to see, the fashion and style aspect. I just love the background scenery. Fashion meets digital arts. What more can one ask for.

URBAN OUTFITTER A/W 11 PRESS DAY
The press day for Urban Outfitters Autumn / Winter 2011 was held in their flagship store on Oxford Street showcasing array of different garment pieces for both women and men.
This the company that is known for its quirky style of clothing. Their garment ranging from YMC to Cheap Mondays in the fashion stake can be said to be authentic and rebel like in the sense that they create a trend that is different to other high street retail store.
The mens collection has a few chunky over size knitwear with very interesting and eye-catching animated design which can be teamed up with a skinny jeans and boots. Causal / smarts shirts, cardigan, silk scarfs, cropped trousers makes the outfitter's man laid back but still looking sharp and adorable.
The men's footwear not only designed to withstand the A/W weather but also to address comfort and self image.
The women's collection has key pieces influenced by a melange of vintage finds from decadent eras.
Floral dress with feminine clean cut silhouette, lace dresses and skirt with a high waistline can be seen in the collection.
Ripped denim shorts with stud gives the collection a rock & roll and rebel style. The stud denim shorts with a directional T-shirt, leather biker jacket and boots complete the whole look.
Customized staples cable cardigan and waxed jacket with fur and stoles teamed up with ankle boots completes the look.
The Urban Outfitters press day was really an eventful one and I had a good time.
And not only were there outstanding clothes to look at but also a feast of delicious French croissant and fresh fruits which were exquisite.
I will be looking forward to the next press event for S/S12.

I can never go into Mayfair without walking into Kirk Originals flagship store on 6 Conduit street. It is always pleasure to be there.
Glasses you want to have and wear to compliment as well as make a statement. Wearing specs/ glasses these days is part of ones everyday trend depending on the look you want to go for the day.

I know the company has been in existence for some time now, but yet still from my perspective the collection they come up with each season is timeless, fresh, chic and funky.
I also love the way they have these urban psychedelic names for all the range for example kinetic, Kirk Heroes, Sculpture, Saturn. How fun is that? I just love and adore it. It does appeal to me!
The new sculpture range is what I have my eyes on now. I love the bold colours and the lightness of the weight. The Sculpture comes is in all shape and sizes. And the best thing you can mix and match.

Roberto Cavalli Spring/Summer 2011
The man of the moment Roberto Cavalli has done it again with Spring/Summer 2011 collection and what we as men need to wear this season.
The silk trousers came in intricate prints and it is left to flow freely and comfortable in the early evening breeze.
A few pieces of his Spring/ Summer 11 collection has a more modest approach. most notably a gracious suede jacket with Nehru collars. But it is of course the sartorial hedonism that we love Roberto Cavalli.
You can never go wrong with wearing Roberto Cavalli.

Often than not as a stylist I always enjoy how some trends never go out of fashion. I came across this 1970s vintage biker jacket and immediately I had to own it. The thing with the biker jacket is, they always have to look and play the part.
Biker jacket trend is always going strong every season... from Burberry, Balmain to Todd Lynn to name a few. The biker jacket has transcended into fruition every season. It is always easy to play around with it either dressing it up or down. One can always go crazy with this trend. It has no boundaries.

Travel In Style With Zanacco Holdall
Travel in Style is something I often talk about and like to do. There is nothing so shabby to be seen fumbling and jiggling with bags. That is not a good look and one should deter from that.
The Zanacco eco - leather holdall bag beats the rest. It's a very manageable and easy to carry. I call it the all purpose bag. It's tough, stylish, versatile and definitely stands out. The creator had traveling in style in mind for sure. Go!
