"The World's First Diamond Ring" Launch Party By SHAWISH JEWELLER.
April 14th 2011 was an important date for me as I was invited to be part in jewellery history with the presentation of ‘The World’s First Diamond Ring’; an in-depth animation that charts the creation of a ring composed entirely of a finished diamond with the band carved directly into the stone.
The ring entirely made from one, single faceted diamond is expected to make around £43 million when sold. Weighing 150 carats, Shawish have not only created a world's first, but also a diamond ring which epitomises artistic talent and technical skill.
London was selected as the city to present this exclusive invitation-only event at one of the capital’s top, award-winning venues, Il Bottaccio, 9 Grosvenor Place.
The event was attended by a selected audience of 350 media, buyers, insiders from the fashion, art, music and film worlds, and celebrity VIPs.
The Launch commenced at 7:00pm with a champagne reception and live music, Shawish’s most current jewellery collection was on display and modeled throughout the evening.

It was a night of the Shawish Diamonds that sparkled the room. How enchanting was that. Pleasure, Pleasure!
