When I first came across U.Mi-1 S/S 2011 collection at the Wolf & Badger store, I was immediately to drawn it. The reason being the sheer quality of tailoring and the colour patterns of the shirts. Also the cut and shape of all the pieces I scrutinized were phenomenal.


 This is the kind of outfit that, when worn, sits well on the body. After a ran through of the collection by the creative director of U.M1-1 (Gozi Ochonogor) I was eager and hungry to see what her autumn/winter 2011-12  looked like.


True to her words, I was given the chance to view the A/W11-12 Collection and blow are some of the images of the collection.
   
The U.Mi-1 AW2011 collection is Gozi's further voyage into cubist imagery.

David Hockney is the guiding influence, with his innovatory
photo-collages. Grids, detailed patchwork designs, and blocks, bring
the clothes to vivid life. They seem to move.

Gozi's sharp lines and trim cuts populate the collection. Leather Jackets and
trousers in tweed are exquisite, with a range of colours from sober
black and brown, to highland green.

The shirts echo the Sixties, with floral colours - white, lilac,
yellow, sky grey - that take us back to Warhol and Jagger.

Gozi Ochonogor has created a brand, U.Mi-1 (pronounced you.me.one)
that represents unity and dialogue through fashion. The juxtaposition
of fabrics, detailing and style lines, prove the brand. Tailoring is
intelligent, combining a smart appearance with casual fabrics -

Wear It In Your Own Way - Land's End.

Ever since I was given a sample of Land's End Original men's Mesh polo to try out, I have become a dedicated fan. 
However, I can say that, my dedication to this brand is based on the following...

>> The finish is perfect.
>> and the convenient  chest pocket adds style and purpose versatility.

I have had the chance to work with this brand in terms using their creation to style for a shoot. Zanacco is the new Ecological men's footwear that is a making a swift and gentle impact in the fashion world of men. Being on a go is a thing that happens to every one in life.  The blazer is this season must have as I have written about and featured in the HUF Magazine www.hufmagazine.com. Men's blazers have been in existence from time past... which I am going to elaborate on...

A blazer is a type of jacket, worn as smart casual dress. The term blazer occasionally is synonymous with boating jacket and sporting jacket, two different garments. A blazer resembles a suit coat cut more casually — sometimes with flap-less patch pockets and metal buttons. A blazer's cloth is usually durable  because it is an outdoor sports jacket. Stylistically, blazers often are uniform garment

A blazer is generally distinguised from a sports garment as a more formal garment and tailored from solid color fabrics. Blazers are often made with naval-style metal buttons, reflecting their historic boating club association, but this is not a defining feature.

Blazers in the 21st century is speaking volumes now. Like I used to say a good blazer will set you on 'fire' and 'cool' you down at the same time. How good is that? 

I have had looked around and there are so many blazers on the market now. Which is a good thing for sure. However there are Blazers and there are real blazers.

The Blazer I want to talk about is the Crombie S/S 11 blazer. I always good out for the cut and quality of a blazer. Fit is also another important subject when it comes wearing a blazer. Even if it is a loose fit, it always has to sit well on the body.

Crombie blazer has always been the man's man kind of blazer. The sheer quality and the effort that is put into it gives it a resounding and effortless look worn.

I actually loved using it for this particular shoot. It shows how diverse and versatile it can be worn.

Star Hu is a luxury and contemporary  fashion designer based in London  the fashion capital. Her spring/summer 2011 collection is full of alluring colours and very sleek. The cut and fit is just flattering as it shows every contour and curve of the female figure.

The palette is colorful and lively as well as  fittingly appropriate for the spring/summer season. Star Hu launched her collection at Wolf & Badger flagship store in Notting Hill where also her design can also be purchased.

It is worth mentioning that, Star Hu S/S 11 is rich easy to wear colours: the yellow, the cobalt blue with yellow pattern, and strong floral dress that pop. 

Another striking piece in her collection is this black hand crafted long dress. The detailing is intricate making the dress comfortable and breathtaking. Its a fierce piece!

Jane Seymour returns for her 8th season as the face (and body) of CC, in their A/W 2011 wardrobe collection, that combines eclecticism with elegance, colour and perfect patterns.

Day wear luxury is a theme throughout this collection  -  soft, feminine and tailored. CC keep the quintessential British look with striking colour blocking, and cashmere and angora blends; light enough for blissful autumn sunshine, and designed for layering on those mistier October days.

Fake fur makes the necessary statement, and animal prints take us back to nature. Of course, the country style is available, with gilets and parkas, (don't forget your polo pony), but The Colour Purple takes us further down the spectrum, from berry-toned jacquard cardigan to rich tweed skirts and maxi dresses  -  magenta and blueberry pieces leading us to the winter fireside.

Red is a special CC favourite of Jane's: iconic, uplifting and boldly versatile. The pillar-box suit in double-face crepe wool fabric is structured with pencil skirt and a striking silhouette  -  it takes you through the day and beyond, from business meeting to wedding reception.

The patterns seen in the individual pieces are so distinctive. Paisley, Aztec, Winter Floral, they all work under a simple coat. The draping and fitting, the shoulder and hip details, lead us straight into the December scene. Sable, gold, French rose, velvet devoré burnout and silk red  -  the only issue is choice.
