The Converse Pro Leather was the first modern basketball shoe, made known to the world in 1976 by some of the greatest basketball players, including Julius “Dr. J” Erving. The Pro Leather came to be recognized not only for its life on the court but also for the larger culture it inspired. Today, the Pro Leather continues to reflect a vibe of creative self-expression and street culture alive in every city around the globe. From sport to art, and music to style, the Pro Leather Suede is a celebration of culture born on the street.
