Summer 2012 sees the brand celebrate the year 1927 with a range of shoes infused with the sporting elegance of the era.
Fondly nicknamed 'Le crocodile'. Rene Lacoste was tenacious on the court , passionate and meticulous in his style. A tennis champion of the 1920s, he dominated the tournaments around the world, winning the titles at Wimbeldon, The Us Open and The French Open - The scene of his first Grand Slam win, at 20.
The tribute collection is the product of careful design and thoughtful detail. The tongue tab on each shoe features seven stars, which are filled in as a reference to Rene grand slam victories. Inside the tab, the specific year is embroidered.
