CHARLES TYRWHITT INTRODUCES ITS NEW SPRING SUMMER 2012 COLLECTION

CHARLES TYRWHITT FLAGSHIP STORE ON 92 JERMYN STREET.
www.ctshirts.co.uk
I am a lover of good quality shirt so is every other man.

So therefore it was a delight when I was (28th February, 2012) invited to the Charles Tyrwhitt flag ship store on 92 Jermyn Street for the preview of their spring summer 2012 collection. And inparticular to talk about their shirt collection.
Cotton and silk, silver and steel. A man must wear the best.

Charles Tyrwhitt offers classic tailoring with a modern twist, and accessories to match.

Look at the stitching, to begin. Every detail, through the collar, shoulder and sleeve, is hand-tailored to match your fit. There are no standard sizes, and you will find a size and shape that matches your form.

The collar frames the face, and Tyrwhitt pays especial detail to the style and structure of the collar. Full cotton, fully stitched, and structured so that it does not flop during the day, the Tyrwhitt collar will make every face a Rembrandt portrait.

The office done and dusted, the weekend arrives. Tyrwhitt brings out a different range that segues nicely into Saturday with checks, pastels and brogues for a smart brunch. Leave the horse behind, and go for a hike. The country needs some colour. Exquisitely tailored casuals with structure bring St James's into Shropshire.

Check Charles Tyrwhitt. It's a fantastic given.

Also check their online store www.ctshirts.co.uk   which is another easy means you can shop. And there is always satisfaction guaranteed.

Go!

CUBA CHARLES MEETS MARK THOMAS TAYLOR

Mark Thomas Taylor (MTT) London and Me (Cuba Charles)
Mark Thomas Taylor is the man behind the menswear label MTT LONDON (www.markthomastaylor.com)

I happened to meet Mark Thomas one night in the West End of London and it was such a delight as we had little chat about fashion, his label and the various charities he is involved in which I was surprised to hear and wanted to know more.

Good on him for giving something back to the under privileged community.

Now here are some facts about this young designer - Mark Thomas Taylor...

>> Born in the united Kingdom to an english father and Thai mother.

>>Travelled the world and that's where most of his inspiration comes from when it comes to designing his collection.

>> Noted for his trademark eye catching colours for his menswear - shirts, T shirts, vest and denim trousers - MTT brings funkiness, youthfulness and effortless style to his collection . Let just say MTT brings colour in the menswear no matter what the season is.
MTT Spring/Summer 12

>> Also, a certain percentage of every MTT item  purchased is donated to the Anglo Thai Foundation (ATF). A foundation MTT spoke passionately about.

>> And this donation goes to improving the life's of the less fortunate children in Thailand in terms of providing education, clean water and food.

This is the link to the charity MTT supports if you would to know more. www.anglo-thai.org

>> As I was personally informed, MTT London accessory range is going to be the next thing in the designer's pipeline. Can't wait to get my hands one.

The collection is inspired by certain materials which are of interest to the designer and the AW12 collection all started with a blue curtain.

It was destroyed and cut into pieces to create something new along with woven shoe leather that has been dyed after the weave process, and enweaved where a beautiful pattern arises and the fringes look like.

OTHER CRITERIA LAUNCH MISHA WORLD SILK SCARVES.

This spring, the 15th of March marks the launch of Misha World limited edition scarves exclusively at Other Criteria.  Through this series artist Misha Milovanovich has taken the square frame and poured in fantasy fashion.  A Spring Summer 12 statement piece or a day-wear daydream, Misha World has created a collection to choose from.

Each scarf’s artwork is realised in Italian silk twill, and the 10 unique designs come in editions of 200.  Misha World takes inspiration from the spheres of art, music, fashion, and travel; from Allen Ginsberg’s poetry to Jazz, 60s prints and Pop culture, all combine like a Japanese anime of shattered colour blocks.

With Misha’s painterly background, unique sweet and sour colour combinations work against black and white backgrounds.  In the range of ten, the wearer can choose from the blazing prints of power pastels and sherbets, or the tribal geometric block borders of another.  Jazz influences speak through a cacophony of colour in graphic deco-shapes whilst Manga-style eyes seem to look to the future.  Through these scarves art historical figures from the likes of Picasso and Mondrian meet with fashion’s forefather of print Emilio Pucci to form the ultramodern designs of Misha World.  This spring’s scarf collection captures the best of retro, awakens new colour consortiums and forms part of the covetable wardrobe.

Whether Candy Warrior, Rio, Mellow Yellow, London Life, Ipanema, Picasso, Good Times Are Coming, Mr Toasty, Le Bien Le Mal or Mr Baddy, each design exudes personality and versatility, perfectly described by Misha as ‘having a scarf with many different lives, almost like a friend’.

Misha World silk scarves will be available exclusively in the UK at Other Criteria, 14 Hinde St, London W1 and online at www.othercriteria.com, priced at £325. Also exhibited as part of the window display will be a sculpture and print by the artist.
